Social Media Management
Establishing a social media presence and a brand voice to communicate research to a broader audience.
The Internal Communication Research Hub (ICRH) is within the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, and led by Public Relations Professor Rita Men, Ph.D.
I began working with Dr. Men shortly after the ICRH was created and built a social media following around sharing research studies in internal communication.
My Role
I act as the ICRH’s social media manager. Part of this means connecting with members of the Thought Leadership Circle, which is a group of over 30 academic and industry experts in internal communication that is constantly growing in size, to highlight the studies and research resources being published globally.
- Responsible for crafting compelling and relevant content weekly to resonate with the target audience and thought leaders worldwide.
- Collaborate with the ICRH team to showcase research resources through visual storytelling methods and captivating social media posts.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance, spreading awareness and sharing insights into internal communication’s role in shaping organizations.
content creation
Communicating research concisely and properly
Red ink. And a lot of revisions.
Writing for a research-based organization was a new experience and thought process. It required some creative problem solving and design experimentation to find a proper layout for showcasing data.
For the ICRH, figuring out how to condense research findings into a square post on someone’s feed is a fun challenge.
Reviewing the results, discussion and conclusion sections of the author’s published research study has helped me to create content that explains the key takeaways.
